The best-fit projects involve real technical uncertainty — not just implementation work. I'm most useful when you have a genuine engineering problem that doesn't have an obvious off-the-shelf solution. Typical fits: an ML model that needs to generalise beyond the training distribution, a robotic system that isn't working in the conditions it needs to, or a software codebase that needs to be rebuilt to scale. If you're not sure, just describe the problem and I'll tell you honestly.
Most project engagements begin with a short scoping phase (1–2 weeks) where I audit what you have, ask questions, and define a clear technical plan. From there, we move into the build phase with weekly check-ins and continuous communication. I deliver working code, documentation, and an evaluation report. Post-delivery, I'm available for a 4-week support period at no additional cost for critical issues.
Both. I'm comfortable working directly alongside engineering teams as an embedded senior contributor — which means code reviews, architecture discussions, pull requests, and attending standups. I'm equally comfortable being the only technical person on a project for an early-stage founder. The key difference is communication style, not approach to the work.
Project rates start at €6,400 for a scoped ML engagement. Retainer-based embedded engineering starts at €6,400/month. Short consulting and audit engagements are €2,400 for 1–2 weeks. I'm transparent about pricing from the first conversation — see my Services section on the home page for starting points, and I'll always give you a clear proposal before any work begins.
Yes, for established organisations with reasonable mutual NDAs. For the initial scoping conversation, most clients find they can describe the problem at a high level without disclosing anything truly sensitive. But if you'd prefer an NDA first, share the document and I'll turn it around quickly.
Yes — the majority of my clients are outside Turkey. I've worked with companies in Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, Switzerland, and the United States. I issue invoices in Euros, work in UTC+3 (with flexibility for European or US morning calls), and handle cross-border contracts through standard freelance service agreements.
